This site is currently under construction.

Runaway production, now costing the US economy billions of dollars, has become a major issue in the entertainment industry. This site, created in March, 2006, will bring to one location the research done on this issue, the worst offenders, the reasons why it is happening and what the industry and those it affects can do to help stop the flow of US dollars into foreign pockets.

While huge bundles of money are spent elsewhere, those who profit on foreign production totally rely on American moviegoers and television viewers to fill their coffers. To help slow down this huge drain on our industry, everyone affected must become knowledgeable about the causes and effects this practice has.

Eventually, this site will have message boards where intelligent discussions can be posted with exchange of ideas and thoughts about runaway productions.

Obviously, it all boils down to dollars and cents. The areas of this country that, over the years, relied on the industry putting money into their local economies and have seen these dollars vanish, must also step up to the plate and make it profitable for production companies to return to their communities. The trade unions who represent those most affected by the loss of work  must also rally their members to make a stand against this practice. The members of those unions must also realize the enormous earnings they have lost because of this growing practice.

One person cannot make a difference, but the combined efforts of tens of thousands of skilled American workers in the entertainment industry can.

We would like your input into the development of this site. Until the message boards are put up, we would like your emails with suggestions as to the type of information you would like to see here and what YOU think can be done to STOP RUNAWAY PRODUCTION!

Sincerely,

Robert Jasper-SAG
